- Wife and husband, wake up in the morning, they kiss and husband makes a sexual reference but no sex or nudity in this scene.
- A woman shows up at a man's apartment and she's wearing a sleazy outfit. Absolutely no nudity. Shortly thereafter, she leaves.
- A club scene with women wearing somewhat revealing outfits, dancing seductively. What you'd expect at a club.
- A scene at a modeling-shoot and women are wearing bikinis (swimwear).

- Julie's panties can be seen a few times when her skirt rides up during a chase scene. Not sexual and hard to notice.

- A man is shot several times by two cops when he pulls a gun, and much blood is seen spurting.
- A woman fires a gun in a nightclub, causing a riot, and a man is attacked by another man during the chaos. He hits the man and slams him against a bar, knocking him out.
- A man jumps on a car that another man is driving and struggles with him, but the man shoots him in the chest (he's wearing kevlar), and he falls off the car and onto the ground, writhing in pain briefly.
- Lots of graphic violence but tame compared to its two sequels.

- In the beginning, two cops beat up some carjackers, one is elbowed in the face and the other is kicked in the groin.
- A decoy cop is shot, and he falls out of a moving vehicle (little blood is shown).
- A guard cop gets stabbed in the neck with a syringe (no blood shown).
- A corpse is seen in a house with much blood, and maggots are on it as well.
- A man chases down a car full of bad guys on foot. The car crashes into a few things, and crashes into other cars, and the men get out and run. Another man jumps onto another car they steal, but is thrown off and almost run over.
- A man is ambushed and thrown through a window (later, he states he has a concussion).
- There's a brutal fight in a bathroom between a cop and several attackers. A man throws a bag over the cop's head and another punches him, but he kicks one of them in the face and knocks the other over. He smashes the other in the face with an object and then bashes another's head against. a urinal, but is thrown into a fish tank.
- There's a car chase in which several bad guys in a car pursue cops and a woman in a truck. The men fire guns at each other and one of the cops throws tanks out of the truck and shoots them, exploding them and lowing up their pursuers' car.
- A cop forces another man against a wall and then against other objects, holding him at gunpoint.
- A gunshot is heard and the window on a taxicab breaks (it is implied that the driver is shot in the head) before the cab is stolen.
- A woman is shot and killed, and she falls into a glass table. The killer then shoots a man in the leg (brief blood spurt), in the same scene.
- A woman is killed offscreen with an axe, and her corpse is briefly seen in a bedroom (bloody), but the lights are off and it's hard to see.
- There's a shootout in an apartment lobby, and one man is killed. There's much heavy gunfire and destruction.
- There's a shootout inside an apartment between a cop and several men, and one of them men is shot dead. The other two men chase the cop and a woman, and more shots are fired.
- There's a massive shootout in a hangar in the end with much gunfire and destruction, and several people are shot and killed. One man is graphically shot through the stomach and killed (much blood seen), another is shot and falls into an electric panel and electrocuted, a man is shot in the leg (bloody), and a man is punched, but beats up his attacker. A car crashes, many explosions occur, and a plane is blown up when a cop shoots gas tanks under it, and a man is thrown into a shelf.
