- A man and woman wake up in bed together, he is in boxers and she is in lingerie (it is implied post-coitus). He pulls on pants and goes downstairs. It is later revealed that the man is married with kids, and people refer to the girl as his "one night stand."
- A woman sleeps her way to the top of the social ladder, with a whole song devoted to her moving from lover to lover. The song uses light innuendos and the F-you gesture four times, perhaps with sexual connotation.
- One song is very sexual in nature and lyrics and is basically a come-on. While singing, a woman and a man ascend the staircase to his bedroom, dance in lamplight, and enter his bedroom. She takes off her gloves while singing suggestively, and then the lights go dark, and all else is implied.
- A man's new lover kicks his old one out of his bed (she is clothed) in song.
- Mention is made of a woman being a man's whore. The word "slut" and "whore" are used two-three times each, and men talk about how a woman "isn't paid to be loved but to be laid."
- There are some suggestive dance moves. During one dance, the outline of a woman's breasts (including nipples) are clearly visible through her thin dress.
Violence & Gore

- Scenes of beatings and fights are seen. Bodies of victims in one of the fights are seen (at a distance, faces aren't seen).
- There are bombings, an earthquake, gunshots, beatings, etc. Mainly mild and short.
Profanity

- Three/four uses each of "bitch", "damn", "slut", "whore", and "ass". In one song, the middle-finger gesture is made three/four times, perhaps to sexual connotation.

- Towards the end of the film, Eva begins dying of cervical cancer. She eventually dies, and it is very sad and intense. Many viewers may find it extremely upsetting as Eva was a very inspirational, mother-like character throughout the movie.
- Eva's embalmed body is seen dead and in a coffin at her funeral.
