Debi Godstein made a very good film about her mother and her family story of hiding and surviving in the holocaust in a very small village in Poland. It's an amazing story about righteous' among the nations who risked their life to save their Jewish neighbors, while many others have not done so and on several occasions even betrayed them. This documentary is done in a very straight forward style. Of course it's very emotional but it doesn't incline,as some time these kind of documentaries tend to,towards endless litany of too many unfocused memories. Camera work is solid. No jumping, no nervous cuts in editing. This calmness helps to tell this story without melodramatic techniques as it sometimes happens in so personal documentaries.Good professional film about most moving family story.
