Pointless junker wastes Sharon Kelly/Colleen Brennan
lor_26 May 2015
Typically made quickly and haphazardly, Carlos Tobalina's LADY DYNAMITE is minimal even by his standards, basically an attempt to showcase a hardcore Colleen Brennan (better previously in soft-core as Sharon Kelly) plus the usual orgy thrown in to kill off running time.

Premise is reminiscent of the pornographer's similarly skin-deep HER LAST FLING, as after a teaser scene humping her husband (limp performance by Shone Taylor), she visits her doctor (played on the cheap by the director), gets a diagnosis of the clap, and decides to play the field for a change. Her by the motions sexploits with a couple of guys are almost as boring as the requisite driving around footage Carlos uses for transitions, and extraneous sex footage with her husband (doesn't fit the story's basic structure) is thrown in as further padding.

Lengthy orgy climax where she and several gal pals are entertained by refugees from Chippendales (porn actors advertised on the poster as male strippers Nick and Rocky as if anyone cared) won't deter any rare potential femme viewers from going to see MAGIC MIKE XXL instead of watching this Vinegar Syndrome DVD version.

One of her well-heeled paramours, who humps Sharon on his beautiful boat, is played by Blair Harris in bored fashion, though better than his previous Tobalina stint in the execrable COME UNDER MY SPELL. Carelessness of the filmmaker's by-the-pound approach to porn shows up in the usual credit errors, this time listing his Hollywood international banner in charge of "Word Distribution" meaning one infers looking for suckers beyond the USA.

Colleen Brennan shines in this enjoyable 80's hardcore romp
Woodyanders24 February 2015
Warning: Spoilers
After being diagnosed by a smarmy doctor (a memorably sleazy cameo by director Carlos Tobalina) with a dose of the clap, a frustrated wife (ravishing redhead Colleen Brennan in peak vivacious and desirable form) decides to dump her unfaithful jerk husband (a nicely slimy turn by Shone Taylor) and play the field by not only taking on a lover, but also by attending a ladies only sex party.

Director Tobalina keeps the simple and straightforward story moving along at a steady clip, offers some nice travelogue footage of sunny San Francisco, and delivers copious amounts of the expected strenuous carnal action. Karen Leslie, Margie Hills, Julie Desmond, Lili Marlene, and Laura Lazare all show up for a sizzling Sapphic session. Best of all, the always delectable Mrs. Brennan gives her energetic all in her scorching sex scenes and has a ball with her raunchy narration; a lively make-up coitus set piece between Brennan and Taylor rates as the definite highly arousing highlight. The funky-throbbing score by Shamus hits the get-down groovy grinding spot. The sharp cinematography provides a pretty picturesque look. Recommended viewing for Colleen Brennan fans.
