Well what started off as a decent music show to bring in the New Year has turned into a real damp squid. The quality of guests has over the last few years has steadily got worse. The show itself needs a good shake up ( Much like its parent show "Later with ) Artists who you would cross the road to avoid share the stage(s) with actual talent - but unfortunately most seem to be fixed on promoting their new material, so few familiar songs which I would say the viewers would prefer on a New Year's eve. To complete the lame show, the sound quality is dire - mixed so it comes across sounding flat and muffled. We bailed out on this years show just around half way through as it was just so poor.

The show is deteriorating year on year.
I've been a big fan since to mid 90s but I've given up on it. This most recent one was the final straw for me. With the headline act Rod Stewart who should've hung his mic up years ago and Paul Jones providing a geriatric kareoke trying to engage the audience to sing because his voice has gone. I feel sorry for the younger artists. Also, the same old has been celebrities such as Vic reeves, Jo brand and Bob Harris wittering on about there hopes for the new year, an insight no one will miss or remember who are all full of there own importance. Embarrassing.

I'm only going to ask this once and hopefully I shouldn't have to again. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get Maryam Moshiri to do the countdown to New Year 2024. I think she would most definitely be the perfect fit for that countdown, have her on as a special guest of sorts. If Maryam Moshiri does not make a guest appearance anywhere in the New Year 2024 edition, I will be immensely disappointed, to the point of which 2024 will become one of the worst years of my life from the disappointment! Seriously!
I really hope Jools Annual Hootenanny takes up my request. I think we can all agree that Maryam Moshiri is the best person to do the countdown.
