Deserves a "Worst 250" place of dishonor
Zipper6914 April 2007
Warning: Spoilers
Frankly it's impossible to know where to start. The acting all round is totally abysmal, the plot holes are cavernous, the "action" scenes are pitiful with poor fight choreography and the direction (where visible) is not up to film school reject level.

Watching in disbelief at this train wreck I could see something was "wrong" and then it hit me. Supposedly set in the USA it was clearly somewhere in Europe. The climactic (Ha!!) scene in a car junk yard made it abundantly clear with a fine selection of clunkers with one or two US made vehicles as set dressing. (in fact it was shot in Ireland).

The level of sloppiness showed clearly in the use of firearms, automatic pistols with probably 10 round magazines were fired endlessly and never reloaded, pistols were given a realistic "crack" sound but high powered rifles were simply recorded as their blank charges discharged with a muted "phht".

Everyone connected with it should be ashamed, not even the nude scenes relieved the suffering of this viewer.

Stick a fork in this turkey. (spoilers)

Warning: Spoilers
I assume that the only reason this movie was ranked highly among the two views who commented on this film was due to the ample nudity and sex scenes between Robin and her supposed captor, Clint. Because the entire movie was utterly stupid thanks in large part to an idiotic plot and James Marshall's bad acting.

This is the two story of a married couple who get stranded alongside a highway where, an escaped convict/murder picks them up and offers to drive them to someplace to use the phone. Only, it's immediately apparent that he has no intention of doing that once they accept the ride since he keeps asking the weakling Mark (James Marshall) whether Robin is really his wife.

They get to a cabin in the middle of nowhere and the convict decides to torture Mark a little, first with a scare and then by having him believe he raped his wife. These moments might actually be more believable had James Marshall actually made any attempt to deliver lines and action with some feeling instead of looking like he was bored.

So convict and Robin, who are actually in kahootz, decide to go through this elaborate scheme to rob Mark of three thousand measly dollars (even small potatoes for an action film from 1997) held in his savings account. Mark, an idiot still trying to stay and rescue Robin, despite numerous instances of doublecross, tries to flee from the convict and it culminates in a ridiculous finale--a shootout at the cabin involving Robin, Mark (who comes back after successfully tricking the convict in the first place), the convict, and a boat load of FBI agents.

Unless your only motivation for watching this drivel is to see numerous shots of Robin's (or her stuntdouble's) naked breasts, then avoid it like the plague.

pretty good movie

I was already a bit biased when I started this movie, because I love the actress who plays Robin. I was pleasantly surprised by the content, though. The plot is definitely a little on the edgy side, and a lot of women probably won't like the way Robin is portrayed (but then again, this isn't a "woman power!"-type movie). However, I really liked the fact that it wasn't as predictable as other movies like it. There are people out there like Robin, and it was a refreshing thing to see. I really liked the non-stop action too, kept me on the "edge of my seat". Definitely a unique movie, and not one that any of my friends would like, but hey, I know I can't be the only one out there who thought it was great.

Its a good movie from a guys point of view altho I dont know if many women would be happy with the way they've been portrayed.Strong intensity from Louis Mandelor and its a nice change to see Bill Murphy play the good guy.Nice work also from Maria Tecce, and very well directed by jerimiah cullinane.
