A ship that's sailing on Saimaa on the way to Heinävesi has a various group of passengers.One of them is not a human at all but a cow called Heluna.There is a dangerous convict that escapes and captain's daughter with her boyfriend wanting to become an actress.Sakari Jurkka of the famous Jurkka family directed three movies in total.Helunan häämatka (1955) was his second one.He does a fine job also as an actor in the movie playing Kalle.His mother Emmi Jurkka plays Eliisa.His girlfriend, captain's daughter Salli is played by Sirkka-Liisa Wilén.Reino Valkama plays her father the captain.Pentti Viljanen plays Jalmari.Arvo Lehesmaa is Amadeus.Oke Tuuri is Tossu Vetelä, manager of the theater group.Armas Jokio plays the convict Myrsky Aapeli.Heimo Lepistö is the policeman Vihulainen.Pentti Irjala is the skipper of a tug.Rauha Rentola plays Manta.Laila Rihte plays Diiva.Ville-Veikko Salminen is Ville.Sylva Rossi is Sylvi.Anton Soini is one gaffer.A fine group of actors and comedians.There's some good singing heard in the movie.Sirkka-Liisa Wilén does a great job singing "Pieni sydän".You can see all sorts of crazy stuff in the movie like three criminals in women's clothing on a motorboat.The critics didn't say good things about the movie then as they don't say good things about it now.But I say this is a good comedy.
