The newest film from Harmony Korine is titled Aggro Dr1ft, and it looks to be a bizarre piece of experimental cinema that will surely prove divisive.
Aggro Dr1ft explores the onslaught of digital ephemera and interrogates modern life through the vernacular of video games. Shot entirely through an infrared lens, the film follows a Miami Beach hitman as he embarks on the relentless pursuit of his next target.
Watch the official trailer below.
Joe Lipsett explained in his festival review of Aggro Dr1ft for Bloody Disgusting, “Harmony Korine has always been a provocateur, so it’s hardly surprising that his latest film, Aggro Dr1ft, is unconventional. The 80-minute feature is filmed entirely in infrared thermal imaging, which means the production is wall-to-wall vibrant reds, yellows, blues, and neon greens.”
Joe’s review continues, “Ultimately this is avant-garde, countercultural cinema that was never intended to appeal to the masses. As an artistic experiment,...

Taylor Swift has proved to be a hot commodity, not just to her fans but also to the American economy. As a result, the music icon’s support is being sought by local hotel workers union Unite Here Local 11 in its strike for better wages and against “junk fees,” extra charges added on to room rates that go to the companies, not the workers.
“We want Taylor Swift to postpone her upcoming concert until our employers agree to a fair wage and our demands that we have already requested for over a month, or past the deadline of our contract,” said Alaink Kemple, personal concierge at the Waldorf Astoria in Los Angeles.
The singer-songwriter was featured in Time magazine’s 2017 Person of the Year issue, which dubbed several women pushing for change (including prominent voices in the #MeToo movement) as “Silence Breakers,” alongside hotel employees Juana Melara and Sandra Pezqueda.

Everything we know about American football, we learned from watching American TV.
We might not know our Quarterbacks from our Tailback, our Vince Lombardi from our Dan Marino, our Seahawks from our Broncos - but thanks to years of watching telly, we do know you have to get the egg-shaped thing over the line.
Ahead of this weekend's Super Bowl between the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos, we've put together our own starting 11.
The Gellers
They may have grown up as vicious rivals, competing for the Geller Cup, but if Ross and Monica combined on the same team, we're pretty sure they'd be unstoppable at all that ball catching and running and smashing into people stuff. Determination, grit and an unwillingness to give up, even in the worst conditions, means they are straight on our team sheet.

“Oops! … I Did It Again” isn’t one of two Britney Spears hits performed onscreen in “Spring Breakers,” but that song’s self-aware spirit of coy misbehavior is stamped all over Harmony Korine’s most mainstream provocation to date. Following four college girls’ descent from Florida spring-break debauchery to the even more vertiginous lows of thug life, this attractively fizzy pic may be a shock to the system for fans of teen queens Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens, but remains pretty toothless titillation by its writer-helmer’s standards. Unfamiliar multiplex exposure awaits the aging enfant terrible, though the youthful target audience may seek it out on newer media.
Arriving three years after “Trash Humpers,” “Spring Breakers” couldn’t come as a more candy-colored contrast: The clearance costs alone for its soundtrack, jammed as it is with current Top 40 artists like Nicki Minaj, Ellie Goulding and the Black Keys, must dwarf...
