# 60 : « hotel room »
lamegabyte26 December 2015
The story tells the sexual adventures of a couple staying in a Spanish hotel by the sea. If at first, they have sex together, quickly they have new partners as the room next door is occupied by a couple of exhibitionists. The hotel is baroque, the image quality is yellowish, the action not really inspired but the cast is amazing: actually, this movie has 20 years (!) this month and it reunites the best of American and the best of Europe! Who could have thought that those names will left such a big heritage in this industry: Steven St Croix plays his usual schemer, Jolt Gaber look like the Mulder of the sex files and Taylor Hayes was totally exceptional: a fit small babe with such appetite! Indeed you have the proof here that Taylor gets stratospheric when one pushes her back-door button! Honestly when you see how cute she was in 1995, you never understand why the changes in later years! It's a pity and I hope that she is happy today, wherever she is and whatever she does!

Intriguing international XXX production

"Trouble" was shot in Spain in 1995, part of a mult-picture coproduction between Adam & Eve's Ultimate Pictures banner and Italian company Capital Film. It's less ambitious than the other projects "Carmen" and Joe D'Amato's "Flamenco Ecstasy", but is entertaining nonetheless.

Chief drawback is poor English-language dubbing, with even male star from the U.S. Steven St. Croix given, jarringly, a different voice.

Story is quite simple, sort of in the "Bad Influence" school, recalling that 1990 mini-classic feature starring Rob Lowe and James Spader. Alan (Eros Cristaldi) and his lovely wife Monica Orsini are vacatioining on the coast of Spain, where neighbor at their hotel St. Croix keeps pestering Alan into living it up in a life of debauchery, centering on his own wife played in fiery fashion by American superstar to be Taylor Hayes (who would sign a Vivid Video contract that catapulted her to the top of the Adult movie charts).

The film (shot in 35mm) concerns Alan's reistance to St. Croix's conniving influence until he finally gives in, and both he and his wife become libertines. Nine XXX scenes later the movie ends, unsatisfactorily, with a long shot of them walking along the sea, for a freeze frame that leaves hanging how the excessive sex has affected their marriage.

Hayes, Orsini and the supporting femme cast are hot, hot, hot, accomplishing exactly what the film set out to do. It is interesting to watch nowadays, over 20 years later, to recall how ambitious porn was back in the glory days, perhaps now only carrying forward in the glamorous Marc Dorcel productions shot on location with imported American stars (recently Megan Rain, Mia Malkova and Adriana Chechik).
