The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Sex & Nudity

  • The teen girl, who is a victim of incest, burns her breast as a form of self-punishment. She encourages her brother to burn her as well, which he does.
  • A teen twice confronts his teen sister about her having an inappropriate relationship with their father. The first time, she has just bathed and is only wearing panties. The scene goes on for some minutes. The second time, he has entered her bedroom at night in his underwear and she is fully nude, breasts and labia clearly visible.
  • A teen boy finds a Polaroid of his sister and their father in a nude embrace. Later, he tapes the father's rape of his sister.
  • There is a rape scene that has full frontal nudity from the daughter and very obvious sexual movement and penetration from the father. Both are fully visible as the scene is well lit.

Violence & Gore

  • Brief and relatively bloodless stabbing near the end, although the scene is very intense regardless.
  • We see blood coming out of an infant's vagina, implying that it was sexually abused.
