Fantastic music

One knows what to expect in this type of movies, the plot is predictable and full of cliches, but the one thing that elevates Diplopennies to a higher level compared to the typical Vougiouklaki/Papamichael flick is the soundtrack. Every song is a winner and especially Ipomoni, Matia Vourkomena, Lefteris, which are some of the most iconic songs in Greek music.

Also, the comedic aspects work just fine, mostly thanks to the supporting actors (Vasilis Avlonitis as the band leader, Sasa Kastoura as Marina's friend/advisor regarding men and Nikitas Platis as Grigoris' boss in the construction site).

Cool job in the editing department as well.

A like so much that movie, the music is absolutely stonic. Old, good, poor, true greek society. Nostalgic and pure.
