Steven Adler is a former Division 1 college basketball coach, shut out of the world of high-profile sports after several heartbreaking championship game losses. He washes up in a slack-jawed town, surrounded by an odd assortment of backwoods locals, coaching in a second-rate sports program. Incredibly, he takes his rag-tag team all the way to the finals; for the townsfolk, this is the biggest day of their otherwise uneventful lives. Everyone has something riding on the game, but Adler has far less lofty concerns. This played at the 1998 Nantucket Film Festival.
