Little Audrey, Inventor
Audrey is washing the dishes using her own invention based on an outboard motor and a conveyor belt when the radio announces that aliens in flying cups and saucers are disintegrating things all over the earth. Audrey mobilizes her inventions that bear a startling similarity to kitchen appliances to combat them.
This Little Audrey cartoon is fairly obvious in where it is going, but at less than five minutes, it holds up for its length, including some nice visuals. The aliens are solid, black figures, which doubtless kept the costs down and makes them look very alien.
Although the Little Audrey series from Famous Studios was never a great one, they are fairly amusing and this is a good example.
