This Famous Studios Screen Song features the song "Alla En El Rancho Grande". Written in the 1920s, it was featured in a movie of the same name in 1936, and has been covered by Bing Crosby, Al Bowlly and even Elvis Presley.
It follows the standard format of the Screen songs of the era: three minutes of gags on tehe theme of Mexico, three of the song, and a concluding gag sequence involving a bull fight. This entry in the series is unusual, if not unique; few, if any others covered songs in foreign languages and the other tunes in the cartoon's score quote from other well-known Mexican-themed songs of the era.
