Completely mistook the female lead 'Megan' in this movie for Tia Carrere...the female villain in 'True Lies" for example.

A pitiful way to waste time.

A truly awful movie. Based in New York but all of the characters apart from the one played by Greg Evigan have such strong foreign accents that you can hardly understand them. The fact that these so-called actors even when under fire seemed like they couldn't care less and photography that makes the viewer feel like they're on a rollercoaster during the action scenes stand out compared with the pitiful script goes to show how bad this film really is. Don't waste your time.

Solid Crime Thriller with decent action scenes and a suprisingly story-ridden plot

Really there's is nothing new in this one, but it has a certain feel to the copthriller genre. It's about two cop brothers and an adoptive father also a cop and superior of both. The main protagonist arrives in his hometown from New York were he was a highly decorated police lieutenant but managed to get into trouble on the mean streets of the big apple. At his arrival there's first a happy family reunion and soon we learn about the true assignment of his job on the force. His hometown is under siege and is being devoured by a large Russian crime syndicate. So not only the russians are to dispose the town holds his very own dark secrets within. Movies like this were big in the 80ts and in the end the millenium filmmaker wanted to revive these type of films in the style of Lethal Weapon, Dirty Harry, Die Hard etc... At the times they were already clichee-filled. They were about standard drug pushers, corruption, including noir elements, lots of action, shootings with graceful violence, and the kind of cop we all like ( You know what kind ). Although a nicely done movie with mimimum budget what doesn't deliver the maximum thrill. Like mentioned the action is ok it's not John Woo and the story has some to offer still not a unique screenplay.

Worth a watch if you like cop movies. I do.

A B-movie. Considering the 1/2 million dollar budget, not bad.

A B-movie in every sense of the word. Considering that, it's not too bad. Acting was average with the exception of the actor who played 'Mick', Tom Pashkov I believe his name was. He had a very interesting style and look. I've seen him in other work and his real accent is not Russian. Very cool. Sydney Penny looked good too, unfortunately the photographic direction wasn't as good as the cast and that really screwed with my enjoyment of the film.
