- [first lines]
- Jimmy Wakely: There's a barbed-wire fence!
- 'Lasses' White: Right across the trail, too.
- Jimmy Wakely: Hold the cattle, boys. Don't let 'em hit the fence.
- 'Lasses' White: You two always were a pair of onery, hot-headed kids - always practicin' slingin' a six-gun when you should have been huntin' strays.
- Bill Miller: Don't forget it was you who taught us. You figured it was important we learn how to shoot.
- 'Lasses' White: Yeah, and I wish now I hadn't.
- Jimmy Wakely: Warren, you're through. Roll your blankets and get out!
- Frank Porter: Just a minute, Jimmy. You may be trail boss, but I'm still headin' this outfit. He's a good gunhand. We need him.
- 'Lasses' White: I've got a hunch you're makin' a mistake, Frank. Warren's been actin' mighty strange lately.
- Frank Porter: All right, but I'm warnin' you, if the law don't help us, we'll settle this with hot lead!
- Ellen Miller: In the mean time, Sheriff Perry, I hope you won't tell anybody about it.
- Sheriff Perry: I'm silent as a desert tortise when it comes to spreading news.
- Bill Miller: Let me give you some advice. Stay away from my ranch and stay away from Ellen. If you don't there's gonna be gunplay.
- 'Lasses' White: You'll have Miller tied up tighter than a cat in a gunny sack.
- Jimmy Wakely: Is that bad?
- 'Lasses' White: That's good!
