I suppose we should be thankful that this movie is included on Alpha's Rebellion DVD. It's not a good copy but watchable. The movie itself is mainly of interest to Charles King's legion of fans. He has a big part and comes across with all his usual sub-villainy. This time he's serving the interests of William von Brincken's obvious villain. In fact, we know from the start that von Brincken is the villain and King his chief henchman, so our interest in the story itself is entirely focused on what's going to happen next rather than whodunit. The movie's good characters, of course, are a really dumb lot, quite out of touch with what's happening in the real world of 1942. Considering the rather obviously thin budget, it's not too badly directed. I don't think there's a single traveling shot in the whole movie. Everything is presented from a fixed camera position. Given this sort of a low-level budget, director Robert Emmett Tansey hasn't done too badly.
