Too many monsters, not enough maniacs

This extremely rare compilation tape hosted by Brinke Stevens is actually one of the better compilation tapes that came out at the time, though it's cheapness is evident.

Unable to afford many modern flicks, it relies almost completely on old black and white public domain films and trailers (considered promotional and are fair use). Fortunately the editing is good and moves along rather than many of these that will simply play a scene from a film and then move to the next. Brinke pops up here and there and narrates for most of the time, sharing factoids and piecing it all together in a coherent manner.

But as I mentioned, there is a real draw and that is the almost complete lack of 80s films included. We get a few 70s trailers such as Texas chainsaw massacre or Horror Express, but the only new release for the time was the 1987 ultra obscure 'Blood Frenzy', which makes up almost the entire very brief 'maniac' section.

It seems they knew they had to boost this section in that it is the only part where Brinke has a little bit where a chainsaw killer attempts to menace her but she laughs him off, which is another jab at the creators distaste for the slasher genre.
