A major returns, with his platoon, from a peacekeeping UN-mission in Bosnia. Everyone is supposed to shake off the unpleasant and ungraspable. But during the end party at the base a female sergeant is attacked and injured. The major ends up I a race with time, his wife's patience and the military's staff hunting the alleged perpetrator who in panic has run off with a weapon.
