• Professor Finley : [narrating]  Le Vaillant was struck by the apparent hypocrisy of killing in the name of religion... especially of a people who claimed to believe in the same God.

  [Charles looking about devastated sees various inhabitants being slain] 

  Professor Finley : In the account of his Bazar following his journey in the Holy Land Le Vaillant

  [Charles roams around numerous butchered city dwellers] 

  Professor Finley : wandered the conquered city of Jerusalem for days afterwards

  [enters an opening and begins descending] 

  Professor Finley : until he came across an entrance to a cave system to a series of tunnels that ran beneath the entire city. Here he began writing his epiphany which became the basis of a new religious sect; An Order that would combine all of the three fundamental religions of the time. His first converts were fellow Christian knights who had also become disenchanted with the bloodshed. His conviction was so great that he even won over a number of fellow Muslims and Jews... former enemies now willing convents to this new order. Years later Le Vaillant had further revelations which he also wrote down to add to his original bazar as it's final chapter.

  [Charles is seen storing his bazar beneath the ground] 

  Professor Finley : About this time Le Vaillant and his fellow converts were being accused of heresy by the church, during a pilgrimage while on their way to Syria Le Vaillant and a group of his disciples were intercepted by some of the very same crusaders he had once commanded.

  [cut to Charles in the midst of battle besieging the crusaders pleading "No Please"] 

  Professor Finley : In the battle that followed Le Vaillant

  [pleading Charles is struck down by one of said crusaders with a final "No"] 

  Professor Finley : died a martyrs death

  [Charles is left among his dead followers]
