Domnișoara Aurica, for me, remains the best role of Marga Barbu artistic career.and the film - one of the most inspired frescoes of the old Bucharest, beautiful poem of small lives in a great town, obscure, full of hopes and illusions, strange, vulnerable, defined by the forms of survive art. a shop of bride dresses. a spinster. and the events around her. the scents and flavors and shadows, the cold hue images and the crumbs of the death, the version of an old Madame Bovary and the town as a cage with open door are elements defining a film who , after its end, becomes a bitter state.
