Evelyn : [surprised look on her face] I have no idea.
[a thug grabs her by the throat and pushes her against the wall. She knees him in the groin and decks him with a right hook]
Evelyn : *That* I learned from your father.

Rick : And let me guess. It was commanded by, uh, the Scorpion King guy?
Evelyn : Yes, but he only awakens once every 5,000 years.
Rick : Right. And if someone doesn't kill him, then he's gonna wipe out the world.
Evelyn : How did you know?
Rick : I didn't. But that's always the story.
Evelyn : The last known expedition to actually reach Ahm Shere was sent by Ramses the Fourth over 3,000 years ago. He sent over a thousand men.
Rick : And none of them was ever seen again.
Evelyn : How did you know?
Rick : I didn't. But that's always the story.

[Jonathon drives up in a double-decker bus with Alex]

Rick : What's the matter with my car?
Jonathan : Well, I was forced to find an alternative means of transportation.
Rick : [shouting] A double-decker bus?
Jonathan : [pointing to Alex] It was his idea!
Alex : Was not!
Jonathan : Was too!
Rick : Just go!

[after their narrow escape, Izzy cheers wildly, then rounds on O'Connell, furious]
Izzy : O'Connell. You almost got me killed!
Rick : [shrugs weakly] At least you didn't get shot.

Jonathan : [with his diamond] Yes! Yes! Yes!
Izzy : [considerably more mellow] O'Connell, who the hell you been messin' with this time, huh?
Rick : Oh, you know, the usual. Mummies, pygmies, big bugs.

Rick : It's not like it sounds.
Izzy : Ah, it's exactly how it sounds. I'm flying high, *hiding* in the sun. The white boy here flags me down, so I fly in low for the pickup. The next thing I know, I get shot! I'm lying in the middle of the road with my spleen hanging out and I see him waltzing up with some belly dancer girl.
Evelyn : Belly dancer girl? Izzy, I think you and I should talk.
Izzy : As long as I don't get shot.

[Evie is trying to bribe Rick into checking out the Oasis of Ahm Shere]
Evelyn : I think the bracelet is some sort of guide to the lost oasis of Ahm Shere.
Rick : Evy, I know what you're thinking, and the answer is no. We just got home.
Evelyn : That's the beauty of it. We're already packed.
Rick : Why don't you just give me one good reason?
Evelyn : It's just an oasis... darling. A beautiful... exciting... romantic... oasis.

Imhotep : [growling and breaking out of the gold mineral, he looks at the cult]
Evelyn : Imhotep.
Imhotep : [Angrily in Ancient Egyptian] Argh! What year is it?
Baltus Hafez, the Curator : [in Ancient Egyptian] My Lord, it is the Year of the Scorpion.

Imhotep : [laughs, then Meela enters as Anck-Su-Namun]

Ardeth Bay : Now do you believe, my friend? Clearly, you were destined to protect this woman.

Ardeth Bay : [after Alex is abducted] Please, do not fear for your son, my friends. They cannot hurt him, for he wears the bracelet of Anubis.
Evelyn : Alex is wearing the bracelet?
Rick : When he put it on, he said he saw the pyramids at Giza, he saw the temple at Karnak.
Ardeth Bay : Yes, and when they reach Karknak, the bracelet will show him the next step of the journey.
Evelyn : Well, if we don't get to Karnak before them, we won't have any idea where to look for him next.
Rick : Seems to me like we need a magic carpet.

Evelyn : [at Magic Carpet Airways] This is the magic carpet?
Rick : It'll be fine. He's a professional.
[coming out the front door, Izzy spots him and gasps]
Rick : Izzy!
[retreating back inside, Izzy locks the door]
Rick : Hey!
Evelyn : He definitely remembers you.
Rick : He's a little shy. Jonathan, get our bags.
Jonathan : Oh, my hands are full.
Rick : [yanking the scepter out of his hand] Now!
Jonathan : Right. I'll get the bags.
Rick : I'll deal with the flight details.
Evelyn : [he shoots the lock] Honey, you're not a subtle man.
Rick : We don't have time for subtle.

Evelyn : [finding the bracelet of Anubis, the room they're in rumbles] Oh, my God.
Rick : [she puts the bracelet back in its case and closes the lid] Well, it's a bit late for that, isn't it?
Evelyn : [giving the case to him] Put it in your rucksack.
Rick : What? I got a better idea. Let's leave it here.
Evelyn : I think it's a bit late for that!
Rick : What's it say?
Evelyn : [translating writing on the lid] "He who disturbs this bracelet shall drink from the Nile." Well, that doesn't sound too bad.
[a huge wave of water crashes through the temple]

Evelyn : [stopping Meela from killing Jonathan] Why don't you pick on somebody your own size?
Jonathan : Oh, my God. Evy!
Evelyn : Take Alex. Go and help Rick.
Alex : But, Mom...
Evelyn : No buts, Alex.
Jonathan : [leading him out] Come on, Alex.
Alex : But.. but...
Evelyn : [drawing a pair of sais from a statute] I'll be just fine.

Evelyn : [in an ancient tomb] Ever since I had that dream, this place is all I can think about.
Rick : And ever since you had that dream, I haven't had a decent night's sleep.
Evelyn : I feel like I've been here before. I *know* I've been here before.
Rick : Evy, nobody's been here before. Not in at least 3,000 years.
[indicating the skeletons in the room]
Rick : Except for these guys.
Evelyn : [opening a hidden door] Then how do I seem to know exactly where I'm going?

Anck-Su-Namun : [Speaking in Ancient Egyptian] l have a gift for you.
Imhotep : [looks at Evy] Her!
[Evy frighteningly starts to panic and breaths heavily]
Anck-Su-Namun : l knew it would please you to watch her die.
[snaps her finger to the other cultists and Evy was struggling to escape]
Evelyn : Get... No! Get off!
[she still trying to escape but saw the fire]
Evelyn : Oh, my god.
Imhotep : The Underworld awaits you.
Evelyn : You wait! I'll put you in your grave again!
Baltus Hafez, the Curator : Our thinking was, not if we put you in your grave first.
[points to her finger to kill her in Egyptian]
Anck-Su-Namun : BURN HER!
Evelyn : You BAST...
[she saw the fire with cult to tip over Evy, she screams in fright, and Rick jumps into the fire to save her]
Evelyn : Rick!
[Ardeth Bay starts fires down his gun shooting the Cult of Imhotep]

Evelyn : [to Imhotep] You wait! I'll put you in your grave again!
Baltus Hafez, the Curator : [to Evelyn] Our thinking was, not if we put you in your grave first.

Evelyn : Alex, I'm seroius. If you lost that key, you're grounded.
Alex : I haven't lost it. I just can't find it. There's a difference.
Evelyn : Well, you'd better start finding it then.
Alex : I will, Mom. There's nothing to worry about.
Lock-Nah : [a stranger enters the O'Connell house] Good evening.
Evelyn : [she looks up at the man] Who are you? What are you doing there?
Lock-Nah : I'm looking for the chest, of course.
Lock-Nah : [he carries the chest to the man] Give it to me now.
Evelyn : [she uses her sword to stop him] GET OUT OF MY HOUSE.
Alex : Whoa, Mom. Maybe not the best idea.
Evelyn : Alex, get back there.
[he backs away]
Alex : [they saw some more thugs] Definitely not the best idea. I think it's time to yell for Dad now.
Lock-Nah : Now I will kill you and take it anyway.
Ardeth Bay : I think not.
Evelyn : [the thugs uses their swords to kill them and then he enters] Ardeth, what are you doing here?
Ardeth Bay : Perhaps explanations are the best kept for later.
Lock-Nah : Ardeth Bay.
