Slight but amusing.

Bobby Clark and Paul McCullough were a popular stage act. Their routine, however, never went over big in films and the duo mostly appeared in a few shorts for RKO and then disappeared from movies. There was nothing wrong with their films but not enough to distinguish them from other comedy teams. Clark was the guy with grease paint glasses and McCullough the guy with a bushy mustache.

In "The Druggist's Dilemma", the pair are hired by Mr. Finch (familiar Laurel & Hardy foil, James Finlayson) to run his drug store. Finch's wife is a very jealous woman and assumes her husband is up to something. So, while he's supposed to be at the drugstore with the boys, he's actually out playing poker and losing his pants...literally. Since Clark is an idiot, when Finch's wife calls he accidentally let's out that the boss is stuck in a hotel room and lost his pants...which is true, though it sure sounds a lot worse than it really was! In the process of trying to get the pants to the boss, oddly, Clark ends up being pulled into a tightrope act. Does any of this make much sense? Not really...but the film has its moments. Nothing brilliant of life changing, mind you...but pleasant entertainment.
