- A truck accidentally smashes into a car at an intersection, resulting in the driver of the car being paralyzed from the waist down and we later see him in a hospital with some bloody cut, scrapes and bruises on his face.
- A brick is thrown through Coach Boone's house window. His wife hurries the children into another room while Coach Boone grabs a shotgun and prepares to shoot at the trespassers. Nobody comes in, though; all we see is a car speeding away.
- One of the football players gets into a car accident. At the hospital, his face is bruised and cut up pretty badly. Sheryl later explains that he died 10 years later at the end of the movie.
