Not only is Michael Owen a talented footballer, he is also widely accepted as having a maturity, personality and eloquence far superior to most other British soccer stars. These qualities, not to mention the stardom brought about by his impressive debut in the '98 World Cup, made him the obvious choice to present a series aimed at bringing the beautiful game back to children, so many of whom spend their time playing computer games these days. This series was amiable and helpful, but naturally couldn't be a substitute for putting one's boots on and actually playing the game in the outdoors. After all, only practice makes perfect.
