- There is a very tense moment on the bus as everybody has to remain quiet to keep from being detected by enemies, and one woman has a crying baby. Hawkeye angrily tells her to keep it quiet, and the next thing anybody knew, the woman had smothered the baby to death. This causes Hawkeye to have a nervous breakdown and be committed to a psycho ward. When he tries to remember back to the incident, he claims the baby was a chicken. This scene is very intense, and shows that Hawkeye suffers from severe PTSD.
- The characters all say goodbye to each other before they all go home. They're all like one big family, so it's VERY emotional.

- In the scene after Hawkeye finally recounts what really happened on the bus that caused his nervous breakdown,Hawkeye,as he is wiping his eyes,says to Sidney Freedman "You son of a bitch,why did you make me remember that?"

- While doing triage, Charles finds the body of one of the musicians he'd been teaching and is told that no one else survived. He walks into his tent and destroys his music. It's a very emotional scene.
