- Cartoonish, fantasy violence. Characters attack each other to make their karts spin out. Falling into lava/deep water/bottomless pits is possible, however your characters come back unharmed, and there is no real gore or anything of the sort.

- A champagne bottle can be seen in the "awards ceremony" scene in the GP mode. In the Japanese version, the Princess and Bowser are shown drinking it, but in other versions, they merely pose with the bottle.
