The Japanese take on industrial espionage
Angel_Peter27 March 2017
The movie starts with Jiro receiving a telegram to come home as his brother is dead. When returning home he is informed that it is most likely not an accident but a part of industrial espionage.

He finds out that he received some sort of warning. At the same time he meets his university friend Ken Sudo that is some sort of publisher/journalist.

The police close the about Jiros brothers death as accident. Jiro then set out to find his brothers murderers. Ken think there is some sort of story in this and do things his own way to help Jiro.

Seen in modern light Blueprint of Murder is maybe not a masterpiece, but for the time it was made it was way ahead of most American and European things done in the same genre.

I would say Blueprint of Murder have good acting and a good story. And maybe most important interesting characters. Action sequences is good for 1961 time. I would say a good short movie that I found very entertaining. I would recommend giving it a try if you are into old crime movies or Japanese cinema. Blueprint of Murder is above average and a movie I likely will see again.
