- Christian Michels insists to provide shelter in the temporarily shut-down countryside castle hotel he co-manages to landscape architect Katharina Klante and her buddy Monika Miller, whose car broke down at night on the road to Berlin. Taking a morning stroll, Katharina protests when she sees his partner Martin Vogt's team violently cut down plants in the historical castle gardens by her favorite designer. Adulterer Christian first convinces her to stay a while and advise a proper restoration, then seduces her, behind the lusting back of his airhead lover, Martin's daughter, student Laura Vogt. Katharina panics and decides to return to Dresden after finding Martin's regular gardener is her own mother Marlies Faller, who talks her out of coming clean after admitting Laura is the daughter she arranged to be adopted by Martin and his wife Beate while pretending to Kat she had a miscarriage. In Dresden she bumps into Laura, who insists to become friends, but attempts a suicide after finding Christian cheated on her with unsuspecting Katharine.—KGF Vissers
