Sex & Nudity

  • A few scenes of a male and female sexual relations. These are all implied and happen offscreen, though.

Violence & Gore

  • A few bosses (namely Redrum, Bloody, and the Bloody Bros) have an attack called "murder" where they stab a main party member in the skull and drink their blood. This isn't too graphic due to this game's art style, but it's still violent.
  • There is frequent and brief blood splatter every time party members and enemies take big damage in battles.
  • Some action battle violence.

Profanity

  • Words like "Damn" and "Hell" is used in the game.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Some characters in the game occasionally use a fictional drug called "Drive" that causes their personalities to change violently.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The opening cutscene shows a spaceship being taken over by an unknown entity. At the end of the scene, the captain of the ship decides to initiate a self destruct sequence to stop this entity.
  • Early on in the game, the main protagonist loses control while in his mech and accidentally causes a massive explosion, destroying his home town and killing a few named characters.
  • Some of the battles might frighten some people.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • Some of the anime FMV cutscenes show violence and blood (Elly surrounded by pools of blood after killing a group of people under the influence of drive, a man being shot and bleeding out, a child Fei covered in his mother's blood, Elly cutting her hand on a sword, etc).

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Multiple characters in the game discuss the idea of "killing god." The "god" in this game is a grotesque and somewhat disturbing looking biological weapon called Deus with the power to destroy planets.
  • Throughout the game, players visit some ruins from a doomed ancient civilization. These areas are full of dangerous enemies, ruined buildings, and have eerie ambient noise in place of background music.
  • Early on in the second disc, many people are mutated and transformed into wels (monsters) by the main villain Krelian. This isn't shown in great detail because of the way disc 2 presents its story, but it's still intense.
