Inside the files of this game, there is an extended line from the G-Man character, if you choose not to join him. He says the identical "Well, it looks like we wont be working together. No regrets Mr. Freeman," but goes on to comment on there being "a few survivors of your personal holocaust" who would "like to meet the man responsible for the total annihilation of their race".
Fans have created a remake of Half-Life called Black Mesa (2012) which uses the latest version of the Source engine. This remake has completely redone graphics, new character models, and some new voice-overs. Valve, whom are the creators of the original game, fully supported this remake.
Several of the security doors in the game have the writing "Security 7G". Homer Simpson of The Simpsons (1989) is the safety inspector for Sector 7-G of the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant.
The military first appear in the chapter "We've got Hostiles!" and they last appear in the chapter "Forget about Freeman!". Apparently, none of the military made it into Lambda Core.
