SYDNEY -- The Australian public voted Rove McMannus the nation's most popular television personality for the third year in a row at the 47th Annual Logie Awards, held Sunday night at Melbourne's Crown Casino. Aside from the coveted Gold Logie, McMannus took the Silver Logie for most popular TV presenter and the Logie for most popular light entertainment program for his series on Nework Ten, Rove Live. The Logie Awards are run by TV Week magazine, operated by Kerry Packer's Australian Consolidated Press. Through his Publishing and Broadcasting Ltd, Packer also owns the Nine Network, which screened the event live. Popular awards are determined by the public, while awards for "outstanding" programming are voted by industry peers.
