Exclusive: France TV Distribution has unveiled a raft of deals on Andréa Bescond and Éric Métayer’s intergenerational comedy-drama Big Kids.
The film has sold to Brazil (Imovision), Benelux (Cinéart), Spain (Vercine), Switzerland (Agora Films), Poland (Best Film Co), Baltics (Unlimited Media), Central America (Babilla) and Taiwan (Avjet International Media Co.).
Ad Vitam released the film in France in April, achieving a gross of just under $1million.
Inspired by real-life stories in France, the movie revolves around a group of school children who end up spending their lunch breaks at a nearby nursing home while their school cafeteria is being remodelled.
The caretaker, played by Vincent Macaigne, is not happy to see the school children invade his residents’ territory, and an intergenerational clash seems inevitable.
However, shared interests and a series of comical situations foster new friendships between the elderly residents and their young lunchtime guests.

The Transformers mythology is an eons-long inter-galactic tale that is rich in its own history. We have the rise of intelligent techno-organic lifeforms, a split between rival points of view, and a struggle for supremacy. All along the way, for reasons that are never spelled out in their history, Earth has been of particular interest to the Autobots and Decepticons.
That much has powered countless comics, animated episodes, and four live-action feature films. Rather than marvel at the wonders of the cosmos or reveal to us why the planet is important, the fifth installment, The Last Knight, retrofit the Knights of the Round Table to an already convoluted and, frankly, boring film series. This film, out now on disc from Paramount Home Entertainment, more or less retreads the first four films, mixing returning humans and Transformers and adding in a few new figures to freshen things, and yet, no one cares.

This post is sponsored by Target. Earlier this week, after finding out that I was working on an article that involved me playing with a bunch of toys from Avengers: Age of Ultron from Target, a friend forwarded me a social media post from someone in their feed. This person, no doubt a mom, was trying to warn other parents that taking one’s children into a Target store would be dangerous, as every aisle was plastered with Avengers branding. My response to this: “Awesome. I’ll be right back, I need to run to the store.” For as long as I can remember, having the toy to go along with the movie has been standard operating procedure. I remember falling asleep next to a plush E.T. doll, waking up and playing with my Ghostbusters firehouse play-set (Egon was always the cool one when I was in control) or building LEGOs to look as close to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles...

No snow, no winter, no melancholy? What kind of Canadian movie is this "WolfCop"?
To put it simply, here's the film's plot (as the name obviously implies): the movie focuses on a police officer, who also just so happens to be a werewolf. Think of the possibilities!
"WolfCop" is the very first movie from Big Kids, an independent film company based out of Saskatoon. The CineCoup Film Accelerator -- think of it as the Canadian version of KickStarter -- helped generate significant buzz about the project, and "WolfCop" won in 2013.
"WolfCop" is now heading into production with $1 million in financing, and it will have a guaranteed cinematic release in Cineplex theatres in 2014.
The movie is set to be released on June 6, with international releases scheduled for the fall of 2014.

Storm Surfers 3D – how exciting can a documentary about surfing be? Well, when Ross Clarke-Jones and two-time World Champion Tom Carroll are involved, a hell of a lot more exciting than I expected. Following these two aquatic daredevils on their quest to surf the most dangerous and intimidating waves around, we watch them get tossed about like rag dolls by Neptune’s wrath, but also gasp at their expertise when conquering these fabled surfing spots. Exploring already tagged areas isn’t enough for our two men though, as their overarching goal is to surf a wave that’s never been surfed before, one that could end our shredder’s careers if handled the wrong way.
Acting like two almost fifty year old children, Tom and Ross are a fun duo to watch and make for entertaining characters, showing an admirable amount of energetic vibrancy in their aging bodies. Watching the...

Kris Jenner has revealed that daughter Khloe Kardashian has been pro-active in keeping younger sisters Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner on the right path as they get older. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star said that while she has always been a hands-on parent, her older daughters Khloe, Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian have also tried to ensure that their teen siblings don't get into trouble. "Little kids, little problems. Big kids, big problems. I remember calling [my former sister-in-law] when Kourtney was 5 months old to say, 'This is so hard - I've been folding cloth diapers for days!' At the time I thought, 'Nothing can be harder than this!' Boy, was I wrong," (more)...

Hollywood's "momager" Kris Jenner says she doesn't regret sharing her family's high and low moments with millions. In the February issue of "Family Circle", she tells the magazine "We wouldn't be the Kardashians if we censored ourselves."
Even though they look like one big happy family (well, most of the time anyway) who vacations in Bora Bora together, Jenner recalls a time when it wasn't easy. She married current husband Bruce in 1991 -- each already had four kids. The hard part about blending families was Kourtney's resistance to Bruce. Jenner says, she "didn't talk to him for the first six months."
One thing Jenner has learned as a parent was something her ex sister-in-law once told her. As the saying goes: "'Little kids, little problems. Big kids, big problems.' I remember calling her when Kourtney was five months old to say, 'This is so hard -- I've been folding cloth diapers for days!

I'm not really sure what to write about tonight, since this is basically the last gasp of summer entertainment before the more popular shows start coming back, kicking off with "House" on Monday night. I love a lot of things about summer, but the sharp drop off in the number of television shows I'm willing to submit myself to is certainly not one of them. Of course, the fall season also brings back all those shows that I tend to forget exist over the summer so I spend a couple weeks going "Really?!? This piece of crap is still on the air?" or in the case of Charlie Sheen and "Two and a Half Men", speculating on what kind of deal was made with the devil that a drug abusing, prostitute frequenting, verbal abusing, physical abusing, and porn addicted man whose past is no secret to anyone with an internet...

'Bachelor Pad' (8Pm, ABC) season 1 finale
Who's left: David & Natalie, Kovacs & Elizabeth and Kiptyn & Tenley, the three couples who will be competing to walk away with the big $250,000 grand prize in tonight's first-season wrap-up of 'The Bachelor' spin-off that turned out to be a great summer guilty pleasure. Frankly, we think they should all get a big lump of money -- well, the women, at least -- after that humiliating 'Bachelor Pad' survey episode, which just may be the meanest thing we've ever seen in primetime. But it's a 'Dancing With the Stars'-ish competition that's going to factor into who wins the money, as 'DWtS' famous faces Chelsie Hightower, Edyta Sliwinska and Louis Van Amstel pop in to help the final six shake their groove thangs.

Chris Brown has reworked Nicki Minaj's hit single "Your Love" and he shared the audio stream with his fans on Twitter. Described as a beat for the ladies, the remix comes out on the heel of his announcement that a new album "will come next year or sooner."
"Yeah, let me step up to the plate now/ Big kids in the room, no playground/ I wanna kiss everything from the waist down/ Keep ya ass up and your face down," the R&B performer drops suggestive lyrics before giving a shout-out to Minaj. "We can role-play, girl, give it to me now/ I'm giving you a massage/ A booty like Nicki Minaj/ Oh gosh," he sings.
Nicki Minaj is thrilled when learning Chris Brown revamped her track. Now, there are four remixes of the song and she calls the DJs to play all of them, "Ok DJ's!!! 4 remixes to...
