Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • While there's no gore in this game, the whole game is focused around slashing, stabbing, and shooting demons; though there's very little blood.
  • In the beginning of the game, Trish stabs Dante with a sword, and it goes straight though him. Dante, however, doesn't die from this, and he pulls it out, laughs, and he heals quickly. Some blood is shown.
  • Dante seems to be stabbed a lot through cutscenes, but it isn't that graphic.
  • Some bosses explode when they die, others melt, and shed until they're nothing. It usually isn't that graphic, and keep in mind, they're demons, and they don't resemble humans in any way.

Profanity

  • For receiving an M rating, this game surprisingly swears very little.
  • A few uses of "damn" and "hell". Maybe one use of "bitch".
  • "Crap" is used a few times.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • While this is not a horror game or is necessarily frightening, it can be a bit creepy or disturbing.
  • You're alone in a castle fighting a various amount of demons, and they can have frightening appearances.
  • Some of the bosses can be scary, especially "Nightmare", who you have to fight three times. You fight him in a dark room, while your only means of killing him is turning on the lights. He's a big pile of goo who can suck you down to the underworld and make you fight another boss to go back up. He is very frightening.
  • You must enter the underworld near the end of the game. It is quite scary looking.
  • This game isn't that bad, besides the fact that you're fighting demons. Which, I understand, religious parents may not want their kids experiencing demonic presence in video games. But among other things, if this game had a movie rating today, it would probably be PG or PG-13. Hope this guide helped!
