I want to ad this as one of the 100 worst ever made... but people seem to like it.
jmalmsten2 October 2005
Warning: Spoilers
OK, here I am, sitting in a bus on my way to I19 Boden, as one of those chaps that gets drafted each year in Sweden to be trained in combat in case of war...

The bus ride is 8,5 hours long so a movie is welcomed as time-distraction. I am a movie-going bastard, its my favorite hobby...

Then the movie starts. A guy is having a bachelor-party, his "friends" drag him, while past out, into an elevator, puts a condom in his ass and leaves him there. He wakes up pulls out his condom, and tries to get to the wedding naked. OK, did you get that? No worries. This filmmakers decided that he would suddenly wake up in that elevator again, and again, and again, and again, and gain, and again ad infinitum(I lost interest after the first few) and again and again... after the first 20 or so minutes of this movie, I was ready to scream. And guess what? he wakes up again (you beginning to see a pattern here?) after 45 minutes I was shielding my eyes and covering my ears... "please make it stop! I'll do anything... anything... just make it stop!!!" I now understand how Alex in A Clockwork Orange must have felt while undergoing his treatment... this is psychological warfare at it's worst.

To top it off, the film-making, screen writing and acting skills is of a zero-budget Bulgarian hardcore porno, without any sexual intent whatsoever, shot with the cheapest possible video-camera as the only equipment.

I am therefore confused about some of the ratings... was I even watching the same movie as them? I don't know.

I never want to see this film again, period.

Oh, that's right. I checked the spoiler-warning-check-box. OK, he gets the girl in the end. But I didn't care by then. I wanted to take the video out and burn it to ashes and then... do something very obscene on it just to let off my steam. This was almost a year ago, and just the thought of this still makes my blood boil. I still love movies of almost any kind, mind you.

Movies like this should be outlawed
ChoiceCuts8 February 2004
Warning: Spoilers
This is a useless pile of turd that includes the following, *spoilers ahead*: 1. Bad acting. Most actors are just irritating.

2. Extremely stupid and unlikable characters: a man takes a s*** in his hand and a girl falls in love with this totally unlikable moron. Everytime I see him I want to hurl bricks at him. He's that annoying.

3. Stolen plot. And it STILL manages to be bad. The plot forces us to watch the same sequence over and over and over and over... you get the point.

4. Humor so dumb that you will want to slit your wrists. I almost commited suicide when my friends forced me to watch this so-called comedy. This movie makes "Not another teen movie" look like Monty Python or Mel Brooks.

This sums up to one of the worst movies I've ever seen. If somebody ever puts a gun to your forehead and lets you choose between either to watch this movie or get you're brains spilled, go for the gun and pray for a quick ending.

God awful!
rennicke24 February 2002
Rent the original instead: Groundhog Day with Bill Murray. Do NOT waste time and money on this lousy movie! Sometimes I'm ashamed of being swedish...

I gave it a the 2 out of 10 it truly deserves, the reason i did'nt give it a 1 is because the high amount of swedish celebs in the movie, which is quite funny to watch, although I can't imagine WHY they actually agreed to be part of this movie...

not very original but enjoyable comedy (not for prudes, though)
jozsefbiro10 March 2002
Swedish movies are usually a rare phenomenon in Hungarian cinemas, so I was pleased to see that Naken is already the second one this year. Although it is very far behind the recent Sånger från andra våningen (which is a magical movie!), it is still an enjoyable comedy. Originality is not the keyword here: the whole story is a Swedish remake of Groundhog Day and many of the gags are also taken from other movies. (However, it is anyway hard to show anything new in film-making and this is not really expected from a lightweight comedy.) The reason I liked this movie is that despite of all the copying there is more originality left in it than in a usual Hollywood comedy. Perhaps this is due to the fact that naked men are shown in a natural way (imagine how much work would be invested in a prudish Hollywood movie to cut the "thing" out), perhaps this is just the "exotic bonus" of movies made outside the mainstream movie-making countries: I liked the "Swedish taste" (or what I thought to be the "Swedish taste"). Obviously this excentric movie is not the best way to look into Swedish society, but in some scenes you still get a glimpse of it.

Tribute to a popular Internet fetish
koreshek9 October 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I think this movie was made by CFNM enthusiasts. If someone does not know yet it's Clothed Female Nude Male fetish. The name is self-explanatory. Totally nude guys are being seen or more by clothed women. There are tons of such scenes in this Swedish movie. Plus practically all male leads got naked. Such scenes will be more popular in coming years. More male nudity, funny or not, not in sex scenes, rather in embarrassing for men situations. Something like Jackass but where there are always girls around to have fun and feel more superior (because they're clothed, that's it.) So if CFNM is your fetish, watch this. If you are a girl, watch this. If you are looking for that type of the comedy, re-watch Groundhog Day.

A Real Stinkbomb
Morlock-226 July 2001
I couldn't believe my eyes when I read the comments on "Naken." They were VERY positive. Then I realised that they must be written by the filmmakers themselves and friends to the filmmakers.

I happened to see this turd for movie... and comparing it to "Groundhog Day" is nothing but a sin.

I don't feel like writing an extended review on the film... because I feel that it would be a waste of time.

If you want to see a high-quality Swedish comedy... watch "Vuxna människor" and "Adam & Eva"... if you have already seen those... then I don't know what you should see... nothing Swedish anyway.

Funny movie that could have been even better
asperyd9 January 2002
While watching this movie I found myself laughing loud now and then to all the funny comments and details. However, the movie gets kind of boring from time to time, there are just too many repetitions of the same jokes. If not a comedy masterpiece, this movie is at least really fun and should be watched by everyone with a sense of sick humor!

Worthless utter crap, avoid at all cost.
mojave21421 May 2002
Sometimes one wonders what's ****ing wrong with people, just check some of the other people's reviews of this poor excuse for a movie. They actually liked it, but they're probably the same people who rents movies starring Denis Rodman. On too the movie, even though there's nothing to really say, the story sucks, the actors can't act they're way out of a subway cart and the shooting and directing is plain bad, bad, bad. Sure, it stars a bunch of swedish celebrity cameos but since did that make a good picture. The people involved in this mess should be banned from making movies forever. Period.

See it.

Interesting and a great laugh! :) Shows proof of intelligence and humor behind the making of the film. Many different Swedish celebrities, more or less famous, popping up here and there in small roles. Good Swedish movie.

If you love to laugh, be sure to see this swedish comedy.
Vuk-217 December 2000
"Naken" is a simple story about a man who wakes up naked in an elevator, as a result of his bachelor's party. Without clothes, money or any help from anybody, he realizes that his weeding takes place in about two hours.

The crazy hunt through Summer-Stockholm is really, really silly but extremely funny. Not only does Henrik Norberg but also several other Swedish celebrities show it all, being true to the title which of course means "Naked" in Swedish.

The funniest swedish film since "Sällskapsresan" of 1980!

Worst movie ever made
Alphonse_van_Worden16 December 2007
This might be the worst movie in the history of cinema. Watch it if you get a chance and feel the rock bottom. It ain't gonna get worse. Actually it must almost be difficult to make a movie so devoid of talent, plot and acting. 10 year old kids doing something for their comrades at school and we're not talking about the smartest kids here might be the nearest equivalent. Projects as bad as this gets stopped on the way but something went wrong here. A monstrously stupid script made it to the screen. I had to watch it to the end. There's an ocean between this movie and the second worst one.

Gimme me money, actors and a camera and I'll make a better movie in a month. This is no bragging - most of us would.

I'd be very surprised if anyone who thinks this movie deserves even 2 stars don't know the film makers personally or were involved in the project.

Bad bad bad bad
axel33510 February 2020
Its not fun too see a naked guy running around naked in downtown Stockholm in a stupid and worthless movie. Its also not fun to see this utterly stupid actor not acting. This movie fails in all levels. Its sexistic. Its stupid. The actors are emberrasing. The plot is non existing or very very confusing. The filming is bad. The sound is bad. I get an headache from the stupidity overlord. Everyone involved in this movie should be ashamed of themselves.

Its not even so bad its funny, its just bad bad bad

This could be the worst swedish movie ever. Stay away att all cost. This film make people sick

It should be expelled from planet earth

This movie is absolutely outstanding, it gives you the laughter of the year! See it! Follow Anders as he's trying to make it to the church on his wedding day...and how he has to re-live the happenings after his bachelorparty over and over until he gets it right...if he'll make it right! Highly recommended!

A tribute to Swedish Comedy
ole3236 September 2004
Loved it!!! You crazy swedes sure know how to make brilliant comedy, and this is no exception! "Ground Hog" day was great, but I actually liked this one better. Swedes make better comedy than Hollywood, or perhaps their humour is more appealing to me. They are not afraid to take things one step further, which is exactly what they did, and what made this movie better than "Ground Hog" !

Best of luck to the makers, as to future projects!

Regards from a fellow scandinavian film maker, And Gerilja Film

One of the funniest Swedish comedies in years
thrillchild11 January 2001
Naken (Naked) is a hilarious journey into the world of things that can go wrong when getting married. After a disastrous bachelor party the groom wakes up naked in an elevator, two hours before the wedding. To make things worse our unfortunate hero has to relive this nightmare over and over again in the tradition of "Ground Hogs Day". One more thing... in Sweden naked means butt-naked, not the Hollywood this-guy-is-naked-but-we-can't-show-it naked. Watch out also for Playmate Victoria Silvstedt who makes her feature film debut!

Damn funny
Walle-216 July 2001
Just laughed my head off. Really great movie, I just loved everything about it. It´s kind of a new "Groundhog Day" but only better. And it´s not that bad seeing great looking kind of nude women all the time. Victoria Silvstedt för example. Simply damn funny and great movie 9/10

Good light entertainment, with a thought-provoking twist in the end.
abekat74 September 2005
This is a movie that will no doubt make you laugh quite a bit. It is light entertainment with a twist in the end. You will first truly understand this comment once you've seen the movie. :I For me to vote this movie a perfect ten; 1: the main character should have been a nude woman... 2: it should have been in my own language so i could understand it all. 3: the movie should have been a little more realistic in the way the characters interact. But then again this judgment might be a little off, due to reason number 2. I have no idea why we keep on seeing those clumsy cops. If somebody wanna comment on that. Be my guest. Funny movie! Watch it if you want to laugh.

A Swedish Groundhog Day
emilhagberg-846325 June 2021
We all know the classic comedy Groundhog Day, where Bill Murray plays a man who has to re-live the same day over and over again. Since then, that same concept has been used and are still being used in movies. Though, this is the only Swedish movie I know of where they use the concept of letting the main character re-live the same day again and again without knowing why. The movie has to day achieved at least some cult status, which I actually think it deserves. It's not the best Swedish comedy ever made but you do get many laughs!
