Funniest Spoof Ever
graemehill28 November 2001
This is probably the one good thing the Backstreet Boys have been involved in. What is was, was a 5 minute or so spoof of the band made by Ben Stiller. Stiller played the sixth member of the band, who kicked him out, no wait, he kicked them out but they kept the name. He formed a new band called Backstreet Boyz with Andy Dick, who shows off a castrati like high pitched sing voice during the music video sequence for their song, and has a hook for a hand. Fans of Stiller will love this, and copies have been floating around the internet since it's release. Highly recommended that you check it out.

hilarious!!

Really funny short movie. Ben Stiller and Andy Dick are such great comedians!! They were really taking the mickey out on the Backstreet Boys, whose appearance in the movie made it even more fun. Being a BSB-fan, I laughed my head off!

Great spoof!

This is a great spoof to make fun of the sudden Boy Band crap that has plagued the air waves of pop music in the last few years. I could have not thought of anyone else other than Andy Dick and Ben Stiller to make this a perfect spoof! More people should see this short!

Mildly entertaining Backstreet Boys spoof

Warning: Spoilers
I never really was a fan of the band, but here and there they released a song that could indeed be defined as catchy and I always thought them superior to N*Sync. What elevates this short film the most is that all the band members happily join in to Ben Stiller's efforts and happily make fun of themselves. And compared to what is creeping up the charts these days, they certainly could not have been that bad.

It starts quite good in the first one-two minutes, but, even if it's only five minutes long, it becomes quickly repetitive and loses most of its spark. It's still worth a watch for Stiller fans, BSB fans or those who simply want to go back 15 years for a moment and dig into the 90s pop music.
