This was an excellent representation of what life is like in the Society for Creative Anachronisms.

A considerable amount of care & consideration seems to have gone into the crafting of this documentary about medieval re-enactment. There was a broad representation of all aspects of the society with a secondary focus on the burden of the crown.

I viewed this film a short time ago, after learning of its release and found it to be a very well made film about the well known "SCA". I have watched guys fight at my local parks and thought it was an interesting group of people, to say the least... The film showed a side to the SCA that only one that was in the SCA experience, one that I knew little of. The film was an excellent "documentary style", behind the scenes look at the whole group, from the rise and fall, to unique interviews with the people "as themselves".

I enjoyed this film greatly. I think that it was able to capture several different view points of life in the SCA and is a good film for members and non members alike. I think they where able to capture several spectacular scenes that makes me wish I was there in person to see.

Warning: Spoilers
As an overview of the SCA and for showing people what the SCA is all about, this movie is about the best it gets. I cannot picture a better explanation and I intend to show it to newcomers and friends and family.

I have been playing in the SCA for over ten years, and somehow, I found this movie even gave me some pointers and some hints on my favorite game.

Also, because the SCA is so large, I was impressed to see people I know in this movie. I recognized several people even though most of the movie was filmed in California.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching it. I would love to meet some of the folks in the movie and I so want to see that house.
