Great game for fans of Survival Horror

This game was a title that slipped under most people's radar back in 2001. Being a Resident Evil junkie myself, I am always on the lookout for a good survival horror title. I have to say I took a chance on this game but boy did it ever pay off! The concept behind the "incident" at the secret facility that you are sent to investigate with your Marine Special Forces comrades is amazing! This is more of an action game than suspense so be prepared for some serious fighting! The modifiable gun concept was cutting edge at the time and allows you to have the firepower of an arsenal while only carrying the one weapon and various attachments. There is of course a loose virus that the character has to contend with and manage the level of infection in his own body. There are plenty of pickups throughout the game to help you deal with the virus and the various mutated baddies in the facility. Bottom line....If you like the Survival horror genre give this game a whirl. You won't regret it!

Just painfully average

Annoying game mechanics. Even more annoying enemies. Combat is weak and controls are awful. Many times when you take damage, it's because the gameplay is so poorly thought out. Voice acting is also the worst I've heard and it seems broken at times. Like there are parts cut out and it sounds like some dialogue lines are slowed down or something. Weird.

It does still have the classic survival horror structure mostly. And the secret research facility in big trouble type story straight from the 90s/early 2000s. Just keep in mind that this is not among the best survival horror games from the era. If you can suppress your subconsciousness telling you how much of a chore this game ends up becoming then go ahead and give it a try.

Also, Cindy has the creepiest hands, man.
