Intriguing

I was quite fascinated when I saw this movie on A&E some years ago. It has always stuck in my memory ever since, even though I have not seen it in a long time. June and Jennifer Gibbons are quite an unusual pair, but you sympathize with them and feel sorry for their parents. The Twins are, for the most part, silent the entire film-only an occasional word between them while no one else is around. However you do hear their thoughts through out the entire film. The "Love Scene" between one of the twins and some teenage guy was a bit disturbing, yet somewhat bemusing. I would love to get my hands on the book, especially since film and book are supposedly based on a true story. I wonder if the book reveals exactly when and why the twins made the pact to not talk to anyone else. And what a pact to keep from childhood to adulthood and possibly beyond!!!

I want this movie

I have read the book The Silent Twins about 3 times and was totally engulfed with it. I would like to own the movie, but I can't find it available, they only offer a copy in China and I am not sure if its a legit practice. Decades later Jennifer and June Gibbons still intrigue me. Two people that made a pact only to communicate w/ their youngest sister and no one else. From their solitude to their destructive against the law behavior. From their hatred yet bizarre love towards one another. The part that will always stick with me is the decision that either the twins had made or some one else, about their lives. I loved the book. I want the movie.
