if you've every been troubled, or know someone who has been, or currently is troubled this is the show for you. i watched this show and just reminisced on everything that has brought me to be me, and i thought about a lot of my family, and maybe why they are the way that they are. it sucks, but it is so true, this show opened my eyes, and made me realize that no matter how many chances are thrown at you, only you can choose your destiny/ fate. i highly recommend this show to anyone that may need a reality check, or to those who have every struggled. everything that this boy has gone threw is crazy and scary. all of this started at believe it or not, 6 years old. i mean, it started when his prostitute mother brought him into this world at age 15, but this boy was found sleeping homeless in a stolen car at age 6, and was then immediately put into the d.s.s. system. he later came to have not one, but 2 children at a young age, to then be abandoned by the 2 different mothers and children. he goes on to stay at 35+ different foster homes! usually endings are happy, but not this one, not for Juan Carlos Castro, his 2 children will grow up just like him in this world of on and off crime, living without knowing their father, because after the new repeat offender law is passed down in Florida, poor Juan is sentenced to life in prison, after a few stolen purses, and run-down cars, this 18 year old boy had no chance after given many chances. look at how he was brought into this world, and now look at how he is going to go out. there are murderers still out there on the streets, but a young boy with minor offenses, and 2 now father-less children is in jail for life!

I'm his sister

I never got to meet Juan Carlos but i am his sister by father different mother. He also has another sibling called Carlos Castro yes just like our sperm donor. To blame our biological father is ridiculous. I broke the cycle as we all could of. I'm a great mom of 3 and have a great career i knew who i didn't want to be like and that is our biological father. We have the choice to be better and do better. As a mother i would never want my kids to feel the way i did bc my Sperm donor picked drugs over his kids. I pray Juan gets out he deserves another chance he was a kid! Amanda K Castro Salinas.
