I love this documentary about the making of The Mack. It tells you the story behind the story. The most fascinating aspect of the documentary is learning about the conflict between the Ward brothers and the Black Panthers. It'd be nice to see Michael Campus and Harvey Bernhard do a movie about the Ward Brothers, especially since I heard there is a movie being done about the Stanley "Tookie" Williams and Dead Man Walking was also based on a true story. This piece also discussed Huey Newton and the Black Panthers in vast detail from their own personal experiences with them their involvement in the filming process. Willie Hutch! Willie Hutch's awesome scoring of the film was discussed. My favorite Usher song, "Superstar" contains a sample from from The Mack's Stroll which was written and composed by Willie Hutch.
