Valerie Bertinelli weighed in on Food Network’s move toward reality competition formats Tuesday, lamenting the fact that the home of her former show “is not about cooking and learning any longer.”

TORONTO -- Canadian broadcaster Chum Ltd. on Wednesday said that it has picked up Rachael Ray, King World Prods.' upcoming talker from Food Network star Rachael Ray, for its fall schedule. Toronto-based Chum said it acquired the one-hour talk show from distributor CBS Paramount International Television for its daytime schedule, beginning in September. Ray already appears on Canada's Food Network channel, where such series as 30-Minute Meals, $40 a Day and Tasty Travels do impressive numbers. Ray's New York-based talk show is produced by King World in partnership with Oprah Winfrey's Harpo Prods., Scripps Networks and Watch Entertainment.
