- A principle theme is the fluidity of sexuality--that the labels 'heterosexual' and 'homosexual' sometimes break down.
- A man and woman make love totally nude. The scene includes full frontal female nudity, caressing of breasts, and cunnilingus as well as intercourse. We see a similar scene later on but with the couple nude only from the waist up.
- A couple of locker room scenes feature the men's water polo team in the shower with full frontal nudity. In the second, we follow a visitor's attention to close details as he watches the showering men.
- We see a man and woman in bed, she topless at least, he totally nude as he arises. She walks in as he is finishing his shower. He can be seen full frontal as he dries himself.

- Two naked men embrace and rub against each other to climax. There is only rear nudity in this scene.
- In another scene, the two men awaken naked, and one recounts a dream in which we see a woman's breasts. The men are seen full frontal in this scene.
- A woman embraces and kisses a man in his underwear. She pushes the elastic down to caress his bare bottom when they are interrupted.
