It’s the most wonderful time of the year (again), and as usual it’s getting to those last few weeks before the big day when creative ideas and planning make way for frantic grabs at whatever is left on the shelves after the Black Friday zombie hordes have cleared everything out.
But fear not: because the best of Christmas is watching movies, re-watching old TV specials and trying hard to forget that George Lucas ever decided that anyone wanted a Star Wars Christmas show, there’ll always be a helping hand round these parts for those who want it.
So if you’re buying for a difficult brother, a picky sister or just for the film, gaming or TV fan in your life, what follows is a compendium of the finest gift ideas for this year’s festivities, as usual there are massive opportunities to win most of what has been included…...

Check out the eye candy below and look for more on this one hopefully soon!

Director Dietrich Johnston’s feature directorial debut, the horror/action film “Blood Shot” is not to be confused with “Bloodshot”, the comic book movie currently gestating around Hollywood. This film actually popped up on our radar way back in 2008, when the casting of Brad Dourif and Lance Henriksen was announced. Unbeknownst to us, 2011 saw the release of a trailer and promo clip from the film, which you can see for yourself below. I don’t know, it looks kind of cool, in a, “Don’t take it too seriously” kind of way. The poster certainly doesn’t hurt its chances with me none. In the heart of the city, a nefarious terrorist cell is plotting a major attack against the Us. Little do the terrorists know, someone is on to them. As they prepare to execute the first part of their plan, a mysterious figure infiltrates their home base and dispatches them one by one.

Meet the new weapon in the war on terror. He will shoot you. And then lap up your blood.Christopher Lambert, Lance Henriksen and Brad Dourif all feature in the cast of Dietrich Johnston's upcoming action-horror Blood Shot. And while Lambert may be playing the President in the piece - accent be damned, apparently - the real star is Michael Bailey Smith, who plays the vampire sent out to clean house.Assigned by a covert government agency, a mysterious vampire and a rogue cop reluctantly join forces against a brutal maniac and his legion of killers. Christopher Lambert ("Highlander"), Lance Henriksen ("Aliens," "The Terminator") and Oscar nominee Brad Dourif ("The Lord of the Rings") star alongside Michael Bailey Smith ("The Hills Have Eyes") and Brennan Elliott ("The...

Dietrich Johnston's Blood Shot has been a long time coming. Bd first visited the set of the film back in February of 2008, but sometimes things move slower than you'd like in the indie world. But now, the film has a pretty cool poster that plays up to it's terrorism fighting vampire promises. "Assigned by a covert government agency, a mysterious vampire and a rogue cop reluctantly join forces against a brutal maniac and his legion of killers. Christopher Lambert ('Highlander'), Lance Henriksen ('Aliens', 'The Terminator') and Oscar nominee Brad Dourif ('The Lord of the Rings') star alongside Michael Bailey Smith ("The Hills Have Eyes") and Brennan Elliott ('The 4400') in this killer, action-packed blend of 'Blade' and 'Die Hard'!"...

Remember that flick Town Creek we told you about a while ago? We first brought it to your attention that Joel Schumacher was working on a horror flick having to do with the Nazis' obsession with creating the master race way back in 2007. Well, it's in theatres now. Really. It is. Well ... sort of.
According to The Blood Shot Eye the flick is now in limited release in a handful of second-run two-dollar theatres. Song sound familiar?
"Internet gorehounds wailed over the mistreatment of "Meat Train," but now Lionsgate is doing it again: Tomorrow (Friday, Sept. 18), the utterly unheralded -- even online -- Blood Creek opens at the Bartlett 10, and, apparently, almost nowhere else in the world, other than some second-run theaters in Dallas, Orlando, and a few other cities."
Blood Creek (as it is now known) stars Dominic Purcell, Henry Cavill, and Michael Fassbender. The movie opens in 1936 during...

More than 30 years ago, Randy Newman wrote a song about how hard it is to live in Baltimore.
That might be as true now as it was then, but despite that (or because of it), little old Baltimore has emerged as some sort of television paradise - a cradle of miracles where TV producers go, toil for a time, and then return to civilization with some of the best TV shows ever made.
The list is short but sweet: "Homicide: Life on the Street," "The Wire," and now, "Hopkins," a seven-part documentary series about Johns Hopkins Hospital, produced...

Blood Shot producer Scott Pearlman got in touch with us to add More names to the growing list of cast for the film, which is now lensing in Los Angeles, Ca. "In addition to Brad Dourif, we also have Lance Henriksen (Aliens), who plays the Vampire's boss. We also have Charles Napier (Rambo 2) as the President of the United States while Paula Trickey (Maniac Cop 2) and Kristi Klainos round out the rest of the cast." A tough cop pursues a Terminator-like vampire (Michael Bailey Smith), constantly taking a beating. No one believes him. He's completely on his own. Everyone thinks he's crazy, and he knows he's going to lose his job and his wife if he keeps this up. But he can't stop. He has no idea the vampire actually works as a hitman for a top-secret government agency, sent to track down and kill terrorists. Read a massive synopsis...
