Stick with the original!!
darrin21 October 2008
As with most sequels, they never live up to their predecessors. Such is the case with Raw Talent II. Shooting this on 35mm would have vastly improved the look of the film. Why they chose not to follow in the same footsteps as the original, is truly a mystery. Regardless, the sequel lacked the same "played like a good mainstream B-movie" as the first. The acting and storyline was subpar. The sex scenes looked staged, as opposed to appearing natural in the first one. The only plus is that they managed to use the same original music by Barry Levitt. The always kinetic Jerry Butler tries to do his best with the material he is given. On its own, Raw Talent II is an enjoyable watch, but hardly on par with the original. Unfortunately, the original is no longer the original, since it was re-released with major Politically Correct edits. All the karate scenes are gone, the masturbation scene with a cooked turkey is gone, and the forced sex scene over the bidet is gone.
