This long plug for The Pianist features so many excerpts from the film that it might be too much for someone who hasn't seen it. However it also has actor and crew interviews, on the set rehearsals, alternate takes (mostly closer camera set-ups), archival footage not used in the film, footage of the real Wladyslaw Szpilman, and a main lengthy interview with director Roman Polanski. The set for the ruined Warsaw is explained as an old Russian army barracks, Polanksi gets some chuckles from his anecdote of seeing the actors who played the mean Germans in their ordinary look, but Adrien Brody's speaking of method behavior to match the conditions endured by his character is tiresome.
