Good movie from Mohanlal in quite a while.

Balettan which turned out to be a needed hit for Mohanlal is a pretty good movie. Since mohanlal as been doing over the top roles for a quite a few films , the story lines have gotten predictable and shallow. This is a change of pace for mohanlal as he plays Balettan someone who is humble and a family man. The Movie is very funny in the beginning the with Jagathi - Harishree Asokan team providing good comedy. The story shift to a serious tone as the movie progresses and the plot has more value. It a must see for any mohanlal fan or anyone who watches malayalam cinema as the storylines have gotten weaker in the industry this is one that stands out.

Best Lalettan 🎥 of the 2000s and the 21st Century

I personally prefer Lalettan's 1980s and 90s classics but Balettan is a wonderful 🎥 and is my favorite 2000s and 21st Century 🎥 as Lalettan still looks young and the story is very touching. Balachandran is another one of my favorite character names for Lalettan. It's an interesting comparison as to how Actor Mohanlal is called Lalettan and Lalettan's name in the 🎥 is Athaniparambil Balachandran known affectionately as Balettan. In other words, Lalettan and Balettan are rhyming nicknames and Actor Lalettan is known as Balettan in the 🎥 which is the namesake title of the 🎥. Lalettan as Balettan is a good samaritan and a 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 hero. However, he has to suffer hardships as his father reveals a burdening secret to him and on top of that, a sinister stranger named Bhadran makes his life miserable and worst of all, his 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 suspects him on having an affair when spotted with his half sister. Balan always goes out of his way to help others but nobody is able to help him when he's in a time of need. Balan's father in law is a jerk and is always putting him down. However, this 🎥 ends happy as Balan and the 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 reconcile after learning the truth. My favorite scenes are the Chilu Chilum song and the climax scene where Balan fights Bhadran and defeats him. The endearing part of this 🎥 is where Balan is with his wife Radhika and his two daughters. Fun fact, Lalettan won two Best Actor Awards, the Asianet and Vanitha Film Award and for Best Actor for his performance in this movie. To conclude, Balettan is a legend and always will be for years and generations to come.
