The harder he falls.

Plot :About to be arrested , a corrupt congressman takes refuge in his cousin 's house , a coarse bon vivant peasant ; he left a luxury mansion for a hovel ,a real pigsty ; this refined educated gentleman finds it hard to relate to that crude way of life ; besides , a DJ who's got a trailer near the house wants to set a rave party out in the sticks ..... The former politician is waiting for the accomplices who are to take him to an airport to fly to South America. But nothing works according to plan ,and he 's stuck with his vulgar relative in the middle of nowhere.

The first part is very good, witty and the situation is riotously funny: a man at the top is forced to live under the same roof as his cousin from the lower orders ;the man in high place who is used to gastronomic cuisine française has to eat his cousin's disgusting brew which he vomits pronto. All that concerns the relationship beween two men who are worlds apart is successful;but the supporting characters( the DJ and his sexy girls, the neighbors who lock up the unfortunate posh politician in their pigsty , the garage owner's wife) are badly written ;besides, can one believe that this ignorant peasant can play the guitar a la Jimi Hendrix?

This is Christian Dob's only theatrically released work ;he also plays the part of the congressman.
