I can not believe that this only has a rating of 2.6. This was a fun documentary to watch. I had just seen this on AMC and I had a blast watching this. I never knew there was so many disaster movies, not to mention they have been around since the early nineteen-thirties. This documentary tells you the dangers about being around the set of such classic disaster movies such as In Old Chicago and the Towering Inferno and even the Poseidon Adventure. There are a lot of interesting stories behind the making of those films and more in this documentary.

Here is the basis of this documentary. It is pretty obvious. This documentary tells you the story behind some of the most famous disaster movies of all time. It tells you when disaster movies started, when they became popular, their downfall, their comeback, another downfall, and another comeback. It also tells about some of the most famous Irwin Allen films. If you do not know, he is the king of disaster movies. It tells how disaster movies used to be made, and the risks of making a disaster movie, and the new CGI, where there is basically no risk.

Overall, this is a fun documentary that deserves a higher rating here on IMDb. I mean, a 2.6? This is at least worth an eight. I am a huge movie buff and I love to watch movies so if you are like me you will definitely adore this documentary about the history about some of the most infamous disaster movies. Some of the disaster movies in this were flops, most were big successes, but overall they were disaster movies.
