Gillian McKeith is determined to keep her public profile high and what better way to do that than to land a place on another reality TV show.
The ‘You Are What You Eat’ presenter had found herself in a bit of a career wilderness until she joined the lineup for I’m A Celebrity…..Get Me Out Of Here! last year. She may have become hated and reviled but at least she’s being noticed and now she wants to try her hand at another ITV show.
McKeith told The Daily Star:
“I just want people to see the real me and I don’t know if that has come across yet.
“I would definitely be open to doing another reality show.
“Maybe Dancing On Ice. I’m a good dancer and I can skate actually.

Gillian McKeith has admitted that she Did fake her faints in the jungle.
The ‘You Are What You Eat’ star – who became notorious for her reluctance to take part in Bushtucker Trials on this year’s ‘I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!’ – told fellow contestant Alison Hammond she “had to” faint to escape taking part in the gruesome tasks she was subjected to on the ITV1 show.
Alison said: “I’m not an uncaring person, but it was hard not to giggle when Gillian fainted. I was so pleased because it meant we were going to eat.
“But when I told her afterwards that I was glad she fainted, she just said, ‘I had to’. If you want to call that faking it, then so be it.”
The TV presenter – who first shot to fame after appearing in ‘Big Brother’ in 2002 – also confessed she suspected Gillian was making up her many phobias.

Gillian McKeith believes viewers voted for her to do Bushtucker Trials because she was ''entertaining''. The TV nutritionist - who was voted off 'I'm A Celebrity ... She said: ''Viewers voted for me because I am interesting. They love seeing someone scream or faint at trials. They don't just want to see someone go through the motions. They want entertainment. Jenny Éclair is convinced that former I’m A Celebrity camp mate Gillian McKeith is a witch, as the You Are What You Eat presenter correctly predicted that she would leave the jungle.
The presenter had packed her bag and got herself all prepared to go and even told Aggro that she had left the insect repellent on her bed for him.
Jenny later said, “She packed her bags, she had her coat ready, she’s a witch…she knew when she was going.”
Once the announcement had been made that Gillian would be leaving camp, a thrilled Shaun said “what a good choice public, I love the public. The public made the right decision, the public are so fair and good and decent.”
As she prepared to leave Shaun and Gillian shook hands and they all made their way to send her off as she crossed the bridge.

I’m A Celebrity reject Lembit Opik has defended Gillian McKeith, saying that she didn’t fake her fainting fits.
The former Liberal Democrat MP said that he thinks the ‘You Are What You Eat’ star was incorrectly accused of pretending to have phobias and revealed that he chatted about the issue with Gillian after she was eliminated from the ITV show yesterday.
Speaking on Daybreak, Opik said: “I actually cross questioned her this afternoon as I have been quite a defender of hers and I’ll tell you now live on British television that I think Gillian McKeith is innocent and she wasn’t faking it.”
On what his career plans are for the future, Opik added:

Gillian McKeith has denied claims that she faked her fainting fits, in a bid to get out of doing bushtucker trials.
The ‘You Are What You Eat’ star was finally eliminated from the ITV jungle show tonight and when asked whether her collapse on live TV last week was for real, she insisted:
I have a history of fainting. It’s not the first time I’ve fainted, I’ve fainted quite a few times in my life.
It’s not something I would ever want to do, it feels horrible. It was definitely a faint, I couldn’t breath, I felt ill all day and it was not pleasant at all.
Happy Mondays singer Shaun Ryder recently blasted Gillian, calling her ‘f***ing irritating.’ On their volatile relationship she added:
The funny part is that sometimes we got along and it would be brilliant, then other times it was just frightening.

Shaun Ryder called his ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here’ campmate Gillian McKeith a “f***ing irritating woman” yesterday.
The singer made the outburst at the TV nutritionist while they were taking part in a Celebrity Chest Challenge, which involved finding keys in a freezing pool of water.
While in the pool, Shaun told Gillian: “You’re a f***ing irritating woman.”
‘You Are What You Eat’ star Gillian – who has failed or refused to take part in a number of challenges, claiming a number of phobias while in the jungle, and worried producers and campmates with her erratic behaviour – told him the way he was speaking was “disgusting”, which only prompted Shaun to retort.
He said: “You say the nasty things all the time -your tone, everything. The way you speak to everyone.”
He later added: “She’s just rude and she’s said some rude things to the girls.

Christopher Biggins has branded annoying Gillian McKeith the “worst contestant ever”.
The former ‘I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!’ winner – who was crowned king of the jungle in 2007 – thinks the ‘You Are What You Eat’ star is ruining the show with her repeated refusal to take part in Bushtucker Trials, and should quit the ITV1 show altogether.
He told The Sun newspaper: “She must be the most obnoxious, selfish, vindictive woman I’ve ever had the misfortune to watch on TV. She’s ruining the programme.
“She refuses to do anything, and if she cannot do it she should get out. She has a huge ego and probably thinks she’s being picked for the tasks because she’s so popular, the poor, deluded woman. My advice to her would be to try harder and be kinder. But there is no way back for her now.”

Gillian Mckeith has admitted that she smuggled herb and flavourings into the I’m A Celebrity jungle camp, by sewing special pockets into her large pants.
The ‘You Are What You Eat’ star was seen sprinkling a mystery substance in pots when cooking this week, prompting bosses to demand she turn in all her contraband. It turned out she had managed to sneak in five pouches of Japanese miso soup powder, eight stock cubes and bags of cumin, celery, garlic, rock salt and herbal seasoning.
She told producers:
“I smuggled it all in my knickers.
“I have a small bottom and I just grew it a bit when I came in here. I had special pockets in my Marks & Spencer knickers.

Ant & Dec have admitted that Gillian McKeith is unlikely to participate in any more I’m A Celebrity Bushtucker Trials.
The presenters spoke after bosses ruled that the ‘You Are What You Eat’ star was medically incapable of taking part in the Super Scario trial on Thursday. Stacey Solomon and Aggro Santos were instead chosen to compete.
“We’ve said hello to Stacey and Aggro and it’s nice to see someone down here other than Gillian,” Dec told the official ITV1 site.
“I think that is the last time we will see Gillian McKeith at the Bushtucker Trial.”
Ant said: “I think it will be. The public don’t get to choose anymore. it is down to the celebrities who gets to do the trials. And I think it is a fair bet – I think it is a safe bet that Gilly won’t be down here. They can’t send her down here.

Gillian McKeith has reportedly been excused from all future Bushtucker trials by I’m A Celebrity medical staff.
The ‘You Are What You Eat’ star has been voted to take part in eight trials to date and has been hysterical, fainting and refusing to take part throughout.
Bosses say that she is ‘making a mockery’ of the show and now want to give others a chance to prove themselves and entertain the public.
A source told the Mirror: “Producers have decided that enough is enough. Gillian is beginning to make a mockery of the whole show. Her refusal to take part is spoiling the trials for fans.
“Obviously viewers are enjoying watching Gillian squirm because they keep voting for her, but now she has started to completely refuse to try, which ruins the programme. Gillian could throw the whole series into crisis, so we’ve had to give her a sick note.

Gillian McKeith claimed to be pregnant on I’m A Celebrity this week, in a bid to escape from jungle jail.
The ‘You Are What You Eat’ star was incarcerated with Shaun Ryder and Sheryl Gascoigne after cheating on a Kangaroo Court challenge.

Fellow contestant Lembit Opik said everyone was worried about her, adding:

An insider told The Sun:
“When Gillian went back to the jungle jail she went nuts. It was quite scary.”
An ITV source said Gillian had been “clearly joking” and made up the story.

SYDNEY -- If recent ratings for The Queen's Castle are any indication, the chances of Australia ever becoming an independent republic would appear fairly remote. Clearly the British royal family remains a source of huge fascination for the Commonwealth country, which still calls the Queen its head of state. A three-part documentary series, sanctioned by the monarch herself, The Queen's Castle offers an insider's view of a year in the lives of the residents of Windsor Castle. The show was produced by British distribution company RDF and came to the Nine Network through a first-look deal that also supplied Nine with Wife Swap and You Are What You Eat. The Queen's Castle premiered June 1 on Nine and attracted an impressive 1.32 million viewers to place 10th nationally, despite not airing in Adelaide. The program averaged 476,000 in Sydney and was the evening's top program there.
